2019 is here, and I'm so excited to bring my top-rated classes to my new Twin Cities community! Pointed Pen and Brush Calligraphy classes are in full-swing as of Saturday, Janurary 19th!
This year, I'm partnering with my local Hobby Lobby in Maplewood to bring these classes to the north side of Saint Paul. We'll have a great classroom space in the store, and for the first time ever my students will be able to buy additional supplies right at our meeting location!
If you're local to the Twin Cities, we'd love to have you join us! No experience is necessary for my classes, and all the supplies are included (and yours to take home). Plus, there are snacks....which is universally acknowledged as the best part of any workshop!

Hope to see you soon!
On the fence? Don't take my word for it - check out these reviews from past students!
"This is such a fun class! Shannon is a great teacher. She is so patient, and she knows exactly how to explain things so you can understand and apply to your technique. With only a few people in the class it allows for a lot of special attention from the teacher if need be. I already signed up for my next class with her!" -- Danielle N, Brush Lettering + Pointed Pen
"This was the second class I have taken and I am excited to continue my skills! Instructor is supportive and gives great feedback along the way and it is a fun and relaxing environment." -- Jacklyn, Pointed Pen + Brush Lettering
"Class is fantastic and exciting! Planning on private lessons soon!!" -- Selina, Pointed Pen
"My daughter and I recently took this class with Shannon and it was thoroughly enjoyable! Her knowledge and skill are terrific and she has a wonderful way of teaching that is positive and very fun!" -- Karen, Brush Lettering
"Signed up my girlfriend and her best friend as a birthday surprise! They both loved and and came home with some nice supplies to continue practicing!" -- Cole, Pointed Pen
"Shannon breaks down the steps into bite-sized exercises and then helps you put it all together. You (obviously, after only a single class) don't leave a calligraphy master, but you do leave having accomplished quite a bit in class, and with enough skills and confidence to continue your practice. We were making words by the end of the class. Shannon walks around and give individualized attention to each student. Providing thoughtful and helpful insights. She makes it very easy to learn. Her handouts are great, she even includes a supplies list for continuing your practice." -- Brandy, Pointed Pen
"Shannon did an amazing job! She allowed a lot of time to practice and gave frequent individual feedback. She also provided a list of all the supplies we used and where to find them, so I can continue working on brush calligraphy. My friend and I want to take more classes from her." -- Bridget, Brush Lettering
"Shannon was very encouraging and patient with us. Also, the craft was adorable. We had a great group of ladies that were excited to learn so the class was a blast. I'm definitely looking forward to taking another one of her classes soon!" -- Tara, Brush Lettering
"I was looking forward to this class for weeks and it did not disappoint. Shannon is a great teacher and helps guide you through any issues you may have. I’ll be taking another class with her for sure!" -- Lynn, Pointed Pen
"This is my 4th class with Shannon and I very much enjoyed it like I have with previous classes. Shannon provided all supplies and walked us through all lower case letters and gave us instructions for uppercase and numbers. If you're looking to get into calligraphy I would definitely start with one of Shannon's classes." -- Maeve, Pointed Pen + Brush Lettering
